John McGeady was awarded the contract for the Construction of a Walkway at Lochshore by North Ayrshire Council, with the works located along the south and west shorelines of Kilbirnie Loch.
The works comprise of an ambitious woodland creation scheme which is one of North Ayrshire’s newest and biggest regeneration projects.
The works include the creation of a rural walkway around part of Kilbirnie Loch with the main works including the construction of a 4km walkway, installation of landscape features including play equipment, wayfinders, information points and landscape planting including a wildflower meadow.
The large scale play features are designed to celebrate the unique history and industrial heritage of Lochshore and the Garnock Valley.
Surfacing has now been completed on the paths.
The works are due to be completed by Summer 2023
