We’re looking to recruit a Heavy Plant Fitter / Mechanic to join our existing team in maintaining our state- of-the-art fleet of Planers, Pavers, Rollers and JCB.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out a combination of depot and site work with site locations generally within 50 miles of our yard in Blantyre, Glasgow.
The position includes inspection, service, maintenance and repair of a range of vehicles and in-house plant as well as shop based work. You will be required to maintain comprehensive hard copy records for each vehicle / item of plant / equipment to demonstrate performance checks, routine servicing, statutory inspection and breakdown repair. You will also report any vehicle and plant defects and monitor safety performance suggesting suitable modifications to any track plant in order to enhance its performance capabilities.
