John McGeady continue to make great improvements at Knocknairshill Cemetery for Inverclyde Council.

Due to a cemetery shortage capacity, the Council were granted planning permission for over 9,500 square metres of land in the East of the existing burial ground which will provide an additional 700 lairs, some with the capacity for two to three interments.

Works re-started in January with the formation of the SUDS retention basin and the commencement of the drainage infrastructure.

The retaining wall and head wall foundations have now been completed and work continues on the natural stone retaining walls.

Works are due to complete in August 2022.
