John McGeady Ltd completed works on Garscube Road and carried out Community Benefits with Abercorn Primary School.

The Connecting Woodside – Phase 1 Garscube Road. The works required further development of the cycle infrastructure in the Woodside area of Glasgow.

The range of works carried out by John McGeady included road surfacing, road planing, kerbing, drainage and street lighting.

This was part of an ambitious £8 million walking and cycling project within Glasgow.

Connecting Woodside was made up of a number of protected cycle routes through Charing Cross, along Garscube Road, Woodlands Road and St George’s Road.

It was considered to be the missing piece of the jigsaw which connect to the improvements on Sauchiehall Street, the Forth and Clyde Canal and regeneration work at Port Dundas and Sighthill.
